Summary:
Feathered fossils discovered in northeastern China further support theory of dinosaur-bird evolution.
The big deal is that they are even older than previous findings.

Opinion/Reading Rainbow Time:
This isn't the first feathered fossil.
That was found a year after Darwin's big book was published:

a single feather in some limestone in 1860 Germany.

So if you want more fuel for a Darwin debate, this is neat.

But what really gets me is that there are these people out there
who are still searching to find new things.

& it's especially admirable that what they're looking for is dead & buried & out of the way--as good as gone--and they still look.

New notes on an old subject ~~150/160 million years.
